TraxLink™ Virtual Tour

Animal Definition - Page 1of 2

Hover and Click above to go through the program options.

Each animal needs to be defined as it is entered into the Trax system. This screen allows you to enter information about an individual animal that defines its characteristics.

Some fields have drop-down lists and some require data entry with Graffiti strokes or the virtual keyboard. You can lock many fields that do not change between animals, e.g. breed, sex.

You can also scan an EID if you have an EID reader. If you don't have an EID reader then you can pick an EID by selecting the Lot # and then the EID from a drop-down list (requires EIDs to be downloaded from the centralized database first).

The minimum data required to define an animal is the Visual ID but an EID is also required to upload the data to the centralized database.

Use the Double-Right Arrow button to go to page 2 of the animal definition.
